Greetings and Salutations

Greetings and Salutations

Greetings and salutations. Welcome to the very first of my contributions to A Man for Some Seasons. Readers of, and subscribers to my other site, The Renaissance Garden Guy, may know me for generating copious amounts of content – both written and photographic – in each published feature. This will not be the case with this premier offering, or any future offering here on A Man for Some Seasons.

What you’ll find here are random observations, thoughts, and opinions on various matters. Whether the topics are entirely concrete or somewhat esoteric, the content pertaining to each one will be limited. Fast reads. Really fast reads. That’s the name of the game here.

The featured image of this premier blog post is illustrative of the site’s general bent, and reflective of my own personal inclination. It’s a picture of some very old (documented), very beautiful (I think so), and very interesting (again, my opinion) books from my personal library. Those readers here who are familiar with The Renaissance Garden Guy and its content will recognize not only some of the books pictured here, but also the fact that I like to collect things (art, antiques, and of course, books). And I like to explore a wide variety of topics in my RGG writing and publishing endeavors. Use the above image as a metaphor: I’ve got a ton – literally – of books in my personal library. But only a few are pictured here. And The Renaissance Garden Guy has got a ton – literally – of writing about, and a ton of pictures (and videos) of, a ton of different things. But only a fraction, a shadow, of those kinds and quantities of content will be featured here. RGG Light. Cool stuff in small dosages. That’s A Man for Some Seasons.

See you next time.

Looking forward to reading more. The books pictured are beautiful just as they are. I can’t imagine all the wonderful stories they have to tell.
